Galway’s Land National Park

Ramboda Falls

St. Clair’s Falls

Laxapana Falls

Kudahagala – 4th Tallest Mountain

Kudahagala is one of the most breathtaking places for sightseeing in Nuwara Eliya. It is also known as Agrabopat Hills. Flaunting a height of 2320 meters, this is the 4th tallest mountain in Sri Lanka. Dominating the landscape, this massive mountain stands surrounded by lush green mountain ranges. Donning a height of 2,524 meters above sea level, Pidurutalagala is Sri Lanka’s tallest mountain peak and one of the most beautiful places in Nuwara Eliya. Also known as Mount Pedro, this peak is so high that it is one of the major highlights of Central Province landscapes of Sri Lanka. The public is not allowed to climb this mountain because it serves as a base for the army of Sri Lanka. 

Aberdeen Falls – Nature’s Wonder

Aberdeen Falls is one of the most spectacular Nuwara Eliya attractions. This is a 89-meter high waterfall on the Kehelgamu Oya, a prominent tributary of River Kelani. The cascade has been named after the 3rd largest city in Scotland. The waterfall is rocky and drops to create a plunge pool. It is surrounded by dense greenery and looks absolutely stunning. 

Bomburu Ella Falls

Bomburu Ella Falls is also known as Perawella Falls. It is one of the best day outing places in Nuwara EliyaThough there are numerous waterfalls in Sri Lanka, this one is the widest waterfall in the country. Bomburu Ella is situated about 2,000 meters above the sea level. Located within the Sita Eliya Kandapola Forest Reserve, the cascade is surrounded by immense greenery. This waterfall is created by a collection of 10 different small waterfalls.

Devon Falls

Horton Plains National Park

One of the spectacular and happening Nuwara Eliya tourist places is the Horton Plains National Park and if you wish to interact with wildlife in Sri Lanka then this place is a must-visit. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Horton Plains National Park stretches across two of the highest mountains in Sri Lanka which are Kirigalpotta and Totapola.
